Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, showcased outstanding variety show skills in Japan.
On October 1, Taehyung appeared on the Japanese TV program "Gyoretsuno Dekiru Horitsu Sodanjo" (Line-up Consultation Center) and took on challenges such as hidden camera pranks and fashion coordination.
He was joined by Japanese actor Ichinose Wataru, actress Imada Mio and host Mori Keisuke.
Prior to the show, Taehyung nominated actor Ichinose Wataru as someone he wanted to meet in person, being a fan of the Netflix sumo-wrestling show "Sanctuary."
During the show, Ichinose Wataru played a prank and appeared from behind a wall. Taehyung, who was surprised by the sudden event, couldn't hide his amazement but smiled while being embraced by him.
Taehyung was later tasked with coordinating outfits for Ichinose Wataru at a clothing store. He explained his fashion preferences, saying, "I like to add a touch of uniqueness, such as scarves, bags, hats, or sunglasses."
Taehyung successfully pulled off a refreshing style reminiscent of his solo debut album "Layover."
He made everyone laugh when he asked Ichinose Wataru to change the pose he had struck to something more natural.
Taehyung complimented Ichinose Wataru, saying, "Your smile has a charm that makes me smile too. It creates a joyful atmosphere," bringing a smile to the big guy's face.
As gifts from the program, Taehyung received an apron with a painting of his album cover, featuring his beloved dog Yeontan. In return, Taehyung gave an autographed copy of his 'Layover'album to everyone.
As the show was nearing its end, Taehyung excited Ichinose Wataru by suggesting that they have a meal together later and invited him to their future concert, along with the promise to exchange contact information.
After the program, Japanese show Sukkiri!! host Mori Keisuke shared his experience meeting Taehyung on the show.
He wrote, "Even when I pulled off a wall-breaking prank on the show, V-san from BTS was very kind to me. It was our first reunion since 2017 when they (BTS) performed live at Sukkiri." He added, "He's a really nice person who cares about everyone around him..."
Mori Keisuke's statement echoes the many stories people have shared in the past after working with Taehyung, attesting to his humble and genuine personality behind the cameras.
Everyone who works with Taehyung ends up being charmed by his warm nature and stellar personality.
You know Taehyung's kind personality is real bec everyone who works with him says the same thing.
