EXO's D.O. is rumored to be leaving SM Entertainment.
According to industry insiders on October 18, D.O. is reportedly continuing his activities at a new agency founded by a management director who's been with him since his debut. D.O. and this management director are well-known acquaintances among EXO fans, and the idol-actor has personally mentioned the manager in his award acceptance speeches and interviews on multiple occasions.
D.O. is also said to consult this manager the most when it comes to his career. He's expected to continue to promote as a member of EXO at the new company.
The news about D.O. follows reports of EXO members Sehun and Chanyeol pursuing solo careers with a new label.

SM seem to be having terrible trouble holding on to EXO members, there must be something awful in their contracts that their experienced and very valuable artists do not like at all. I suspect the only reason any of the members have stayed with them is because SM have a death grip on the EXO group as a whole, and aren't going to let it go in this lifetime.

Whilst forging ahead with successful solo careers, and appearing to be going their own ways, perhaps the members of EXO still want to perform together occasionally, they were a cohesive unit for a very long time. - but that must be getting increasingly difficult because of scheduling clashes.
