It was revealed that one FIFTY FIFTY member has decided to retract her lawsuit against ATTRAKT and possibly return to the agency.
On October 16, media outlets reported that Keena had submitted a withdrawal of her appeal to the court after changing her legal representative from law firm Barun to Shinwon.
In response, FIFTY FIFTY's legal representative stated to Star News, "Only Keena has appointed a new legal representative and submitted a request to lift the injunction," adding, "The other three members will continue their legal proceedings."
However, the specific reasons that drove Keena's decision to retract her injunction remain unknown, as the legal representative declined to comment.
In an earlier session, the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court had declined FIFTY FIFTY's request for an injunction against ATTRAKT Entertainment. The court had ruled that there was a lack of conclusive evidence to prove a violation of the requirement to provide settlement documents. Furthermore, there was insufficient support to confirm breaches of healthcare and consideration duties on ATTRAKT's part. The court also opined that the termination of a business arrangement with Doggy Bus did not amount to a breach of their exclusive contract.
Subsequent to this ruling, the members of FIFTY FIFTY had opted to file an appeal. However, in a new turn of events, Keena has signified her intention to suspend the lawsuit.
In response to the report, ATTRAKT informed Star News that Keena expressed her desire to return to the agency and indicated her willingness to engage in discussions about resuming activities and determining the direction. The agency cautiously added, "We haven't had a conversation yet with the CEO in Korea."
She was smart to jump off a sinking ship.
