A little spookiness is a must in the month of Halloween. It is October, and if you are watching romance K-dramas, make a shift right now and try some fantastic hair-raising horror series that will give you goosebumps.

If you are a fan of horror, ghostly, or even zombie apocalypse shows, then keep scrolling. Here are some of the top K-dramas that are simply perfect for the spooky season. Add these to your binge list and enjoy Halloween with some scary K-dramas.

SWEET HOME

With Song Kang in the lead, this apocalyptic horror/thriller drama can be your pick for the Halloween month. The plot follows Cha Hyun-soo (Kang), who decides to leave the house after a tragic event but gets trapped in yet another trouble as monsters have taken over the world.

STRANGERS FROM HELL

This drama is meant to give you the creeps. It is eerie, unpredictable and disturbing. Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook lead the show, but every character here plays their part perfectly. Beware and be alert, as anything can happen in the Eden Studio dormitory.

KINGDOM

Set in the Joseon Dynasty, the crown prince must protect his people from the weird and mysterious plague that has taken over their kingdom. It is his fight against the powerful, infectious outbreak and the quest to protect people. It can sometimes get gory, but it is well worth the watch.

THE CURSED

The story revolves around a young girl named So Jin, who becomes the unwilling host of an evil spirit. This supernatural presence grants her the ability to bring about death by simply knowing someone's name or possessing their photo.

HELLBOUND

Adapted from a Korean webtoon of the same name, ‘Hellbound’ is a dystopian dark fantasy series that deals with sins and punishment. People suddenly hear predictions about their deaths, and later, supernatural beings come out of nowhere to condemn them to hell.

So, which horror K-drama is going to be your pick for Halloween? Also, share the ones not mentioned here!

If this is the best they can come up with then it's a bit of a poor show, to be honest. I've watched all of these to varying extents, except for Sweet Home.

.

Strangers from Hell is just weird, I couldn't get into it, and gave up three quarters of the way through, it didn't make sense, and I didn't like it.

.

Kingdom was ok, but frustratingly, it isn't finished, presumably there's a season 2?

.

The Cursed was very very very very epically slow, I don't think I got past episode 7 before losing the will to live and giving up.

.

Hellbound isn't finished and ended on a cliffhanger, presumably there's a season 2, but there's going to be a change of cast, Yoo Ah In won't be in it, so I won't be bothering.

.

There has to be spooky things better than that bunch, surely. Or is this just a genre that Korea doesn't do very well?

.

I watched the spinoff film Kingdom: Ashin of the North, and that was ok, telling the story of the beginnings of the plague.

.

I also tried The Guest, and never finished that series either, it just wasn't very good.
