Netizens are moved by BTS RM for honoring his promise to donate months after his pledge

Netizens have been deeply moved by a heartfelt gesture from BTS RM, who followed through on a promise he made earlier in the year.

As reported, RM recently donated 100 million KRW (~73,628 USD) to the Korean Society of Legal Medicine, expressing his support for professional training. 

On an online forum, netizens discussed the way RM made a pledge back in January to Dr. Lee Ho, a forensic expert and professor at Chonbuk National University. The two met on the tvN variety show, 'The Mysterious Dictionary of Useless Miscellaneous Human Knowledge.' 

Recently, the show's producers shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip below, which reveals RM asking Dr. Lee Ho about how he could contribute to supporting forensic training. Noting that he typically supports cultural fields with which he is familiar, RM expressed a desire to extend his philanthropy to different disciplines that also need backing.

In the video, RM is heard expressing his intentions to make a donation as a gift for his birthday, which was several months away in September. As the clip concludes, the captions confirm that RM indeed honored his promise, a fact that was further supported by multiple media reports.
