Lee Seung Gi's agency has spoken up regarding the artist's latest controversy during his first ever U.S. tour.
As reported, local fans and the U.S. tour management companies in Atlanta revealed that Lee Seung Gi made last minute cancellations regarding his promised visit to restaurants and an upcoming concert to greet his fans. When reports surfaced that the singer was "neglecting the fans in the American communities," Human Made quickly asserted that Lee Seung Gi was "not disregarding his fans."
The agency explained that on the day of the cancelled activities, the artist's flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta had experienced severe turbulence. Consequently, they did not arrive until 10 PM, reaching their hotel by 10:30 PM. Human Made stated, "As an agency, we thought that we should prioritize the artist's health conditions."
They elaborated further, stating, "We informed the related personnel that pushing our artist to visit the restaurants could potentially affect the quality of the actual concert. Had there been a specific event or a fan meeting scheduled at the restaurants, he would have visited them regardless of his conditions. However, as the concert was the most important event, we deemed greeting the audiences at the concert venue would be the priority."
Regarding the cancellation of his concert in New York, the Korean agency once again gave the same response that it was due to the "unfavorable local venue conditions" and refrained from commenting on the reportedly low ticket sales.
On online forums, K-netizens are still wondering about the claims of Lee Seung Gi reportedly changing hotels out of dissatisfaction as they share images of the Hilton Embassy Suite.
I'm sorry but in what world was anybody complaining about his fanservice? His performances were fantastic. He changed the setlist twice and performed songs that fans wanted him to do on the spot. He took pictures with many fans there and everyone had a great time. I have not seen one complaint from any fan who attended!
