On September 15 KST, former NMIXX member Jini officially kick-started the countdown to her solo debut with the release of a meticulously prepared teaser schedule chart.
Jini announced she will be debuting as a solo artist in October with her first EP 'An Iron Hand in a Velvet Glove.' Jini's debut showcase will be revealed through YouTube along with the album release on October 11.
According to Jini's new label ATOC, "We have an array of promotions in store to thank the fans who have been waiting eagerly and patiently. We are genuinely enthusiastic about Jini’s debut and urge fans to eagerly anticipate what promises to be a game-changing moment in her career."
Korean netizens are excited about Jini's comeback to the music industry after her sudden departure from JYP Entertainment's rookie girl group NMIXX.
They commented, "I wish the songs were good," "I was sad to see her leave the group," "I felt her talent was a waste when she left NMIXX," "She stood out from NMIXX, I hope things go well for her," "Either way, I support her," "Oh wow, I hope she succeeds," "I really like Jini, hope everything is successful!" "I'm still curious why she left the group but I just hope things go well for both NMIXX and Jini! She's talented so I hope her new songs are good," "I'll support her!" "I guess we can just conclude that her musical taste wasn't in line with JYP's music," and "Looking at this situation, I guess JYP is an okay label. They allow all the idols who left their label to continue their music career without filing any lawsuit against them for breaking the contract or something."
