Former NMIXX member Jini is officially set to make her debut as a solo artist.
On September 13, Jini announced the release of her 1st mini album, 'An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove'. Although the singer has yet to reveal more specific details, such as the mini album's release date, many onlookers are already showing keen interest in Jini's next steps.
Meanwhile, Jini announced her departure from NMIXX on December 9, 2022. Afterward, she signed as an artist with UAP in May of this year. The agency subsequently changed its name to ATOC and announced a management partnership with Sublime Agency, assuring fans that Jini would be greeting her fans soon with various activities.
I'd say that these teasers could definitely support the theory that she left nmixx over creative differences; these look a lot harder and more futuristic than anything nmixx has been given so far. It's honestly pretty impressive that she's already going to debut solo after only being in the public eye for a year and a half. Given her great dance and rapping skills, and the vocal training she received in JYP, she might have what it takes to carve out a niche for herself as a soloist.
