EXO's D.O. has been fined for smoking indoors.

Last month, EXO released a video on their official YouTube channel for their "Cream Soda" promotions, and it revealed what the members were doing backstage at MBC's 'Show! Music Core'. Netizens and fans noticed D.O. was smoking an electronic cigarette in the waiting room, and after the clip went viral, D.O. was fined up to 100,000 won ($75 USD).

A netizen claimed, "I reported D.O. Kyungsoo for smoking indoors back in August," sharing a statement from the Mapo-gu Public Health Center. The health center confirmed that D.O. was fined according to the National Health Promotion Act as he was unable to verify the electronic cigarette was nicotine-free.

Mapo-gu Public Health Center stated, "Smoking inside the broadcast company building is a violation. Though he and his label have explained he was using a nicotine-free e-cigarette, they were unable to provide evidence of the product being nicotine-free in the product's description or instruction. Thus a fine was imposed. The individual involved has pledged to dutifully comply with the law as a public figure in the future."
