Loossemble has recently triumphed in a legal ordeal regarding the use of their group name.
According to multiple legal sources, Loossemble's agency, CTDENM, recently won a legal battle regarding an injunction filed by Blockberry Creative.
Blockberry Creative had previously filed a suit against CTDENM, arguing that they should not engage in entertainment activities using phrases such as 'LOONA,' 'LOONA ASSEMBLE,' or 'LOOSSEMBLE' that were identical or similar to their own.
If Blockberry Creative's claim had been upheld, Loossemble would have been unable to use this name anymore. This would have had a significant impact as they had just released their debut album and embarked on the 'Loossemble the U.S. Debut Ceremony' tour.
However, with this recent court decision, Loossemble can continue to use their new name. Additionally, this decision opens the door for Loossemble's domestic activities in Korea after their U.S. tour.
The court notably recognized the reputational value, customer appeal, and credibility attached to the names LOONA following the cessation of their exclusive contracts. As a direct consequence of this ruling, Loossemble and any former LOONA members, who had parted ways with Blockberry Creative, have more leeway in their future creative endeavors.
Meanwhile, Loossemble released their debut album 'Loossemble' on September 15 and is currently on their 'Loossemble the U.S. Debut Ceremony' tour.
