A highly-regarded Performance and Choreography Director, renowned for their work with Red Velvet and Seulgi, has reportedly embarked on a new chapter in their career by joining the ranks of HYBE.
On September 4, an online user shared the news that former SM Entertainment's Performance/Choreography director, who worked with Red Velvet on "Feel My Rhythm" and "Birthday" as well as Seulgi's '28 Reasons' will now be working with HYBE.
The revelation came via a video, allegedly shared by the choreographer. The HYBE's primary corporate building can be seen in it, accompanied by a caption that states, "New Beginning."
In response to the social post, Korean K-pop enthusiasts and netizens commented, "Everyone is leaving," "Oh?" "I wonder if they'll be in charge of the 'R U Next?' girls," "Wow," "A lot of people are leaving," "I wonder which label they're going to, Source Music?" "How much more did they get paid?" "I guess they will manage I'LL-LIT?" "Wow so many are leaving," "SM...everyone is leaving," "I think SM would be alright without the choreographer," "Oh man," "It's not only SM that's losing talented people," "If it's girl group, it might be I'LL-LIT" "I would go to HYBE too," and "Everyone's leaving to HYBE."
Is it really that scandalous though? I'm pretty sure people in these types of trade will switch companies a couple of times throughout their careers.
