On the August 4 installment of the YouTube series 'Just an Excuse', Yoo Jae Suk continued chatting with Seventeen's Joshua, Hoshi, Ji Suk Jin, and Jo Se Ho, cast members of the TVING variety program 'Bro & Marble in Dubai'.
On this day, the Seventeen members recalled the rigorous schedules they had to live through during their trainee days, as Hoshi revealed, "When we were trainees, the current laws protecting underaged minors from working past a certain time did not exist. So we would just stay in the practice room until dawn."
He then continued, "The arts high schools in Seoul were too expensive for me to enroll in. So I went to high school out in Namyang. I had to get up at 5:30 am every morning to commute to school. After school, I would head straight to the practice room and stay until 3~4 am. Then, I would just go to the dorm, wash, and basically head right out for school the next day."
Later on, Jo Se Ho decided to pose a hypothetical question to Yoo Jae Suk. He said, "Hyung, say you're 18-year old high school student Yoo Jae Suk. One day, as you're leaving the school gate, someone approaches you and says, 'Hello. I am the casting director of an entertainment agency. Would you be interested in becoming an idol trainee?'. What would you do?"
Hearing this, Yoo Jae Suk immersed himself in the situation and responded, "I think I would consider it very seriously. But I don't know about saying 'Yes' right away."
Here, Ji Suk Jin joined the conversation after returning from the restroom and chimed in with, "If someone said that to him, wouldn't it be a scam?"
Yoo Jae Suk fumed after hearing Ji Suk Jin's diss(?), exclaiming, "That was a rotten thing to say!". However, Ji Suk Jin continued to joke, "You know I'm right."
