The ODD EYE CIRCLE members exude charm in their recent pictorial for Singles magazine.
On August 23, Singles magazine unveiled a snippet of their interview and photos of the ODD EYE CIRCLE members Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry from their pictorial that will be featured in the September 2023 magazine edition.
In this photoshoot, themed around “Memories of Last Summer,” the ODD EYE CIRCLE members captivate through their nostalgic and dreamy aura. Fashioned in various chic clothing pieces, the idols showcase their undeniable charisma and versatility whilst simultaneously presenting a sense of rawness and vulnerability in perfecting the wet hair look.
In their interview, the members discussed the temporal qualities of their lives and career journey, reminiscing on old memories, reflecting on changes that have occurred from past to present, and hope they hold in times of uncertainty.
Check out the interview and photos below.
The concept of today's pictorial is "Memories of Last Summer." Is there an old memory that came to mind while filming?
Jinsoul: Today, seeing a fishbowl and a goldfish among the props, I remembered the time when I was shooting the music video for the title song ‘Singing in the Rain’ of my debut project single. The music video also featured a fishbowl full of goldfish. It's been a long time since I've been immersed in memories of that time.
Kim Lip: In the shots taken with the sparkler, memories of going to the beach with my childhood friends and playing fireworks came to mind.
Choerry: Wouldn’t today’s photoshoot itself become a memory as time goes by? [Laughs] Unlike the photoshoots I took before, I think it will be more memorable because it was shot in a more matured mood.
It hasn’t been a short time. What has changed so far?
Kim Lip: 6 years is definitely a long time, but on the other hand, it feels short because it's my second time working as Odd Eye Circle. So our hearts are still the same as when we debuted. While preparing for the album, the only thing I thought was, ‘let's work hard, since it's been a while since we've come out, let's work really hard'.
“Someday” implies an uncertain hope. So personally, I thought it was a negative word. However, Jinsoul seems to be someone who knows how to focus on hope rather than the uncertainty of words.
Jinsoul: That's why I always add only positive phrases after the word 'someday'. Something like ‘I can do it’ or ‘it will become a good memory after it passes’. To be honest, I was originally the type to give myself a hard time because I had a lot of worries. However, as time passed, I grew little by little and naturally learned to look at myself positively. After that, I was able to focus more on the hope that this word has.

I can't really put my finger on the reason why, but despite being into LOONA since their debut, I'm just not that excited about the members' activities now. I guess it didn't help that I was unimpressed with Air Force One. Meh.
