According to an exclusive media outlet report on August 23 KST, the production of the Netflix original occult school mystery series 'The Sense' has been "suspended indefinitely", with its full cast and crew dissolved.
'The Sense' was expected to follow the story of 4 students at a Catholic school with special abilities, allowing them to see, smell, hear, and touch spirits. Actor Kim Yo Han was cast as the male lead, with Han Ye Ri joining the crew as an eccentric teacher. The production was led by director Lee Jung Heum of JTBC's 'Inspector Koo' along with production companies High Zium Studio and HIGROUND.
However, issues arose during the script-writing stages of the project, ultimately leading to a decision to halt all production.
According to reports, affiliated staff spent over half a year preparing for the project's filming, but now, the cast and crew will be dropping the project to seek out new opportunities as soon as possible.
I just read another article that said they're not cancelling. In fact, they have denied reports of production on the show being halted. A rep of “The Sense” production company Higround clarified that this is a misreport. They stated, “The information that the production has been canceled is wrong.” They added, “Currently, the script is in the process of being revised, and the schedule will resume once the delicate revisions are complete. There appears to have been miscommunication during the production.”
