Amid the controversial news of the former Big Bang member being cast in the new season of 'Squid Game,' the production team behind the series shared with media outlets that T.O.P has no intention of stepping down from the show.
Furthermore, the production team revealed that Hwang Dong Hyuk, the director of 'Squid Game' (pictured above on the right), will remain silent regarding his casting choice of T.O.P.
Meanwhile, the production team added that the filming has not begun for the new season and that it will go on for "quite some time" once the process begins.
As filming for the new season has yet to commence, concerns have been raised by the public about the potential impact of T.O.P's involvement. Despite the backlash over his inclusion in the show, the actor appears to remain committed to the project as of now.
What are your thoughts?
there is no reason why dong hyuk should even cater to netizens in the first place. when squid games first came out, it was considered a flop until western media picked up on it. then once the intended audience (domestic viewers) noticed how internationally well it was received, that’s when the show piqued their interest. squid games appeal has become too big to worry whether a few netizens liked a casting choice or not.
