Actress Song Hye Kyo has issued an apology for an accident that occurred during the construction of her new house.
On July 17, her agency, UAA, released a statement acknowledging the incident and expressing remorse for the lack of safety management.
Song Hye Kyo's agency stated, "In the process of constructing Song Hye Kyo's house, an unfortunate accident resulted in damage to a resident's vehicle. We deeply apologize for the oversight in ensuring safety."
Furthermore, Song Hye Kyo extended her personal apologies to the affected vehicle owner and emphasized their commitment to addressing the situation and preventing any future occurrences.
The agency continued, "First and foremost, we would like to express my sincere apologies to the owner who experienced the damage. We are diligently collaborating with the construction firm to devise a solution that will rectify the situation. Our joint efforts are focused on establishing safeguards to prevent any recurrence of similar incidents in the future."
The agency also pledged to enhance communication with the residents and prioritize their feedback to improve any inconveniences caused by the ongoing construction. The agency concluded by stating, "We will actively seek the opinions of residents to better understand and address the issues arising from the construction process. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused."
On the same day, a media outlet reported an incident at a housing construction site in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where Song Hye Kyo's house was being built. Fortunately, no occupants were present in the vehicle, and there were no injuries reported. The accident involved a large steel bar that fell while dismantling a temporary structure and landed on a BMW sedan.
Why is she apologizing? It's not like she works for the construction company who are the actual ones at fault.
