BTS, the globally renowned K-pop sensation, commemorated their extraordinary 10th-year anniversary with the release of a captivating biography book.
Titled 'Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS,' the book chronicles the group's illustrious journey, encompassing their remarkable achievements, cherished memories, and poignant experiences.
Having been published on July 9, the book has garnered tremendous praise from dedicated fans and the general public. With pre-orders for the book commencing back in May, eager fans wasted no time in delving into the captivating pages, eager to immerse themselves in the vivid narratives shared directly from the perspectives of the BTS members themselves.
Recently, one netizen brought to attention a narrative from the book that uncovered the unspoken tension and competition the members had to face early on in their careers in the entertainment industry.
In the excerpt, J-Hope opened up by sharing, "It was really hard while promoting "Danger."
V elaborated on the situation and shared, "It was okay that another team was nominated for number 1 since we just needed to work harder. Whenever we go to the broadcast station, we always greeted people whether they were our seniors or juniors. But then there were people who just ignored our greeting and some even ridiculed us for not even being nominated as number 1."
He continued, "After the broadcast, we all traveled in the same vehicle...some of us cried, some of us were angry, and some of us couldn't even say anything because of the sadness and injustice that we can't express with words that we felt." V added, "That's when we thought 'We need to be successful so that no one can look down on us.' We had the determination and gathered in one heart to become an amazing group."
Many fans were speechless by the hardship that BTS had to face and commented, "I can't believe they went through something like that," "It's amazing how they became determined to climb to the top," "The entertainment industry is vicious," "I would get hurt too, how can fellow idols ridicule other idols like that?" "People are so mean doing that to their faces," "BTS had it extra hard at the beginning for some reason," "I'm not even a BTS fan but I remember BTS being made fun of a lot earlier in their careers," "I'm so happy that they made it big and took revenge," "They are really untouchable now," and "Revenge is so sweet."
Fact: Danger was the song that introduced me to BTS. I loved it and at some point, had their dance practice clip on repeat. 😅
Not cool to be ostracised for not having a number one nomination (can’t believe it’s a thing) but props to the boys for having deep resolve and determination. Look where they are now. 😊🫶🏼
