The public continues to turn their backs on FIFTY FIFTY and The Givers' Ahn Sung Il.
On July 17, Dispatch reported that The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il allegedly forged the signatures of the Swedish songwriters behind FIFTY FIFTY's hit single "Cupid" to illegally take their copyright. If confirmed, the transfer of copyright could be suspended.
Dispatch discovered that the original signatures from the Swedish songwriters were different between the 'Rights Transfer Agreement' and the 'Shares Transfer Agreement.'
After the shares transfer agreement was revised, the initial distribution of shares changed drastically. According to the revision, the Swedish songwriting team forfeited their entire share, and a reduction in shares occurred for FIFTY FIFTY member Keena's share. Astoundingly, Ahn Sung Il managed to transfer 74.5% of the copyright shares from the others to himself. It is important to highlight that if this document is proven to be forged, Ahn Sung Il would be held accountable for committing a significant criminal offense.
Following Dispatch's report, The Givers' Ahn Sung Il's side has responded by stating they are confirming the facts.
With more reports and development of the FIFTY FIFTY controversy, the public opinion of the group and The Givers continues to plummet. Many Korean netizens are baffled by Dispatch's latest discovery and have gathered in an online community to share their thoughts.
Netizens commented on theqoo, "He's such a criminal," "He's a conman for sure," "This is so crazy," "The members were scammed too it seems," "I wonder if Dispatch is going to release the statements from the songwriters," "I don't think this is his first time doing something like this," "He's such a crazy scammer," and "Wow, he took 6% of Keena's shares."
Korean netizens also commented, "What does he need to confirm? if he remembers forging the signatures?" "If it's no, it's a no. If it's a yes, it's a yes. What more do they need to confirm?" "lol, at least he responded by saying he's confirming," and "They definitely have something fishy going on."
I hope the members realize after doing all this to their CEO. They will never ever have the same success in the industry ever again. They may even be blacklisted by the industry, so if that is there goal then more power to them. But they should not be shocked when it does happen. They shot themselves in the foot because of the greed
