A video showing NMIXX's recent fan sign event garnered attention online.
On July 28th, a post on a popular online community sharing a video filmed at NMIXX's fan sign event on July 13th garnered attention for pointing out how member Lily was seen ostracized by the members and fans alike.
The original poster pointed out how Lily did not interact actively with the fans unlike her usual personality and how she didn't receive anything from the fans compared to other members. Many netizens commented how this reminded them of PRISTIN, which had a fandom known for having many more individual fans. But others stepped up in defense of the group and fandom saying their other fan sign events were not like this.
Some of the comments include:
"I saw the video and I can see she's trying hard to keep her feelings to herself."
"If I were there I think I would have given her something although she's not my bias. Haewon sitting next to her literally has a pile of hairbands."
"Lily is the one who enhances the quality of NMIXX songs so individual stans should not do this to her."
"This is pretty common across flops. Those fandoms rarely have group stans. Almost everyone is an individual stan so they never take care of anyone who's not their bias."
"This post is just making Lily look bad. This fan sign event was the one outlier but thanks to this post now Lily is a poor member that does not have any fans. If the original poster really was caring for Lily, he wouldn't have made such a post."
"This post is just reading into things and making the group look bad smh."
"Reminds me of PRISTIN."
What really grinds my gears is that, all the other members have loads of those headbands, and none of them offered to give Lily one, which had N0NE, especially the girl sitting next to her, which had a pile of them
