While FIFTY FIFTY is in the midst of an internal dispute over their exclusive contracts with their agency ATTRAKT, they are expected to receive billions of won in royalties at the end of this month.
According to an exclusive media outlet report on July 11, Fifty Fifty will receive royalties for their hit song "Cupid" at the end of July from Spotify streams. According to insiders, the royalty amount will be at least several billion won. Some in the music industry even predicted that FIFTY FIFTY's royalties at the end of this month could exceed 10 billion won.
FIFTY FIFTY's "Cupid" entered Billboard's 'Hot 100' and climbed to 19th place. It is the fifth K-pop girl group song to chart on Hot 100 following Wonder Girls, BLACKPINK, and NewJeans.
Smh. I don't even know what to say at this point. Such ignorance. Yeah sure that's a big amount to earn. But that might be the only amount they earn. If they weren't so greedy, selfish, and stupid, they could've made a lot more money in the long run. But now with their reputation, it seems highly unlikely. They had their golden goose but wasted it for a few quick golden eggs. Sad.
