ATTRAKT has blocked the FIFTY FIFTY members' attempts to own their group name.
FIFTY FIFTY were reported to have registered the trademark for their group name and individual member names in Korea earlier this month, but it seems ATTRAKT has made the move to register earlier in other countries. On July 25, ATTRAKT was found to have filed and successfully won the trademarks for the girl group's name in America, the United Kingdom, Japan, and China.
This means that FIFTY FIFTY would require ATTRAKT's permission to promote under their current group name in those countries even if they won their lawsuit to terminate their exclusive contracts with the label.
Stay tuned for updates on the ongoing legal battle between ATTRAKT and FIFTY FIFTY.

I haven't seen such self-sabotage and fast group downfall in a while in K-pop. Usually when a group decides to make a move is because their rights are in danger but this was purely ego-driven.
