Global boy band Stray Kids has reached new heights with their comeback album!
Previously, it was reported that Stray Kids' 3rd full-length album accumulated 5.13 million copies in pre-order sales, setting a record as the most pre-ordered album in South Korea's history.
On June 2 KST, the boy group officially released their much-awaited full album '★★★★★ (5-STAR),' which features the title track "S-Class." On the same day, the physical album was released, and according to the Hanteo chart, it accumulated a whopping 2,392,666 copies sold on the first day of its release.
'★★★★★ (5-STAR)' has propelled Stray Kids to hold the third highest-selling album by any Korean act in Hanteo history, following BTS's 'Map of the Soul: 7' and Seventeen's 'FML.'
In addition to breaking their own first-day sales record, Stray Kids also surpassed their previous best first-week sales record with remarkable speed, achieving this feat on the same day of the album's release. The previous record of approximately 2.1 million copies sold in the first week was held by 'MAXIDENT.'
Furthermore, on the same day, Stray Kids surpassed a total of 9 million copies sold across all their albums on Hanteo, becoming the 5th artist to achieve this milestone.
Congratulations to Stray Kids!
