Recently, fans were surprised when they saw SM Entertainment sending a congratulatory flower wreath to Jaejoong for opening his own label company iNKODE.
Jaejoong debuted with TVXQ back in 2003 under SM Entertainment. Promoting as the lead vocalist of the group and was one of the major groups leading the Hallyu wave. However, in 2009, Jaejoong, along with two other members of TVXQ (Yoochun and Junsu), filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment.
Following their departure, the trio established the group JYJ, with Jaejoong continuously releasing new music and maintaining his promotional activities. However, his notable absence from major broadcast stations led many fans to speculate that he was blacklisted from the Korean entertainment industry due to the dispute with SM Entertainment.
After seeing the congratulatory flower wreath, fans are wondering if SM Entertainment was able to finally show support for Jaejoong since Lee Soo Man left the company.
Korean netizens commented, "It's definitely because Lee Soo Man left the company," "What in the world," "We get to see so many interesting things after Lee Soo Man left SM Entertainment, lol," "I'm glad that I lived long enough to see this, lol," "Wow," "This is so interesting," "I guess time fixes a lot of things," "I wonder if he is going to be allowed to appear on major broadcast shows now," "Did he reconcile with SM Entertainment after Lee Soo Man left?" and "I'm just glad he's doing well. He's going to do better since Lee Soo Man is no longer with SM Entertainment lol."
Nah, this has to be a PR stunt. SME wants to say they are still nice to idols who sued them like what's happening now with EXO-CBX. But I do hope Jaejoong and Junsu can one day be on TV broadcast in Korea again. They always said that's the thing they've always missing all these years. And it's not just about being on TV, it's the fact that this industry shut the door on their faces for standing up for themselves.
