It has only been a little under three months since Jimin officially made his solo debut and it has been a period of major growth and blooming for him and his solo career. He has been on a record-breaking spree, raising standards and becoming a record-breaker for K-pop soloists on all the different major music platforms and charts globally.
The extent of his success can be seen from the recognition he has been receiving from different world-class entities for his major milestones achieved on different platforms as an artist, one such entity being the much coveted Guinness World Record acknowledgment and recognition.
On June 14, fans found that Jimin had earned another Guinness World Record on the music platform service 'Soundcloud,' with his first self-written and composed song 'Promise.' The song officially became the most streamed song of all time on the platform back in December 7, 2021, but has only been officially recognized for this title as of January 5, 2023, when the record was published.
Notably, 'Promise' also holds the record as the most streamed song on the same platform, in the first 24 hours of release with 8.5 million streams. Presently, the song has achieved 330,036,626 plays on the platform, maintaining its record as the most streamed or most popular track on the platform.
This would be Jimin's second Guinness World Record, the first one having been published and celebrated just a few days earlier for the Fastest K-pop solo artist to reach 1 Billion streams on Spotify, doing so in just 393 days as earlier reported.
