Highlight's Dongwoon has announced his upcoming wedding!

On June 27, Dongwoon shared the news to fans through a handwritten letter on Instagram. The Highlight member will be tying the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend in September. His letter is as follows:

"To LIGHTs.

Hello. This is Highlight's Dongwoon. It's been a long time since I've left a handwritten letter like this. This might be sudden. I'm very nervous and cautious even now because I know this could surprise you and also make you sad. I took up the courage to write this as I want to be the first to tell you.

Thankfully, I met someone that understands me a lot and shows me a lot of consideration. At some point, I started thinking that I wish to spend my future with her, and so, we will be having a wedding this September. As she is not someone who is in the same industry as I am, we'll be having our wedding quietly with just family and close acquaintances. I'm really sorry that I had no choice but to stay quiet about this all this time and for not being able to tell you.

I met everyone at the age of 19 for the first time. At home and in the group, I have always been the maknae. I'm so grateful that everyone also supported me and loved me moreso as the maknae. Even and during my debut days even I'm someone who is lacking, I was able to grow and become who I am today because of the tremendous love that you all have given me. I know this very well.

I'm also grateful to the Highlight members who have always cheered me on and trusted me. I won't forget this gratitude and work harder than I have until now. I will repay everyone's love by working my best in my position as Highlight's Dongwoon. Thank you for reading this clumsy post until the end.
