'EXIST' by EXO sets a new first-day record for album pre-orders on Ktown4u
EXO's 7th full-length album 'Exist' has set a new milestone in K-Pop history. Pre-orders for the album, which began on June 12th, broke the record for the highest sales on Ktown4u within twenty-four hours, achieving a staggering total of 241,685 pre-orders. This marks the first time any album has exceeded 200,000 pre-orders on the first day in the history of Ktown4u. The previous record was held by Seventeen, who garnered 177,971 first-day pre-orders for their album 'FML.' The scale of this accomplishment underscores EXO's ongoing popularity and the high anticipation surrounding 'Exist.'
Further, recent data reveals that the pre-orders for "EXIST" have surpassed 290,000, setting a record as the fastest album to reach this number on Ktown4u.
Coinciding with this achievement, EXO released a ballad single titled "Let Me In" which has already made waves in the Chinese market. The single has sold over 150,000 copies, making it the best-selling K-Pop Group single in China for 2023. This feat eclipses the previous record held by TAEYANG and JIMIN's 'Vibe', which sold 134,000 copies. This series of record-breaking achievements further underscores EXO's significant impact on the global music scene.
Adding to their accolades, "Let Me In" clinched the No.3 spot on the Worldwide iTunes song chart, and attained the No.4 position on iTunes Europe. It made its debut at the pinnacle of the charts in over 35 countries, demonstrating its global appeal. Additionally, the music video for "Let Me In" dominated the worldwide chart on YouTube, further testifying to the global traction and wide audience reception of EXO's latest offering.
It can be mentioned that "Let Me In" by EXO debuted with 947,700 Streams on Melon and it gained 67,150 unique listeners on MelOn in the first 24 hours and EXO became the most followed artist on MelOn on June 12.
