The first person responsible for spreading the malicious rumor about Park Na Rae and Sung Hoon coming to the emergency room together was revealed.
Recently, Park Na Rae's agency, JDB Entertainment, said, "We decided that we could no longer condone the current situation that damages the reputation of our artist. The malicious rumor causes not only the person concerned but also their family and people around them to suffer. Hence, we have decided to take strict legal action against them."
The agency emphasized, "We will use all methods to take legal action against those who first wrote and spread malicious rumors, expanded and reproduced groundless content as if it were true. There will be no negotiations or leniency in this matter."
Stallion Entertainment, Sung Hoon's agency, emphasized, "The rumors related to Sung Hoon that are currently spreading in some online communities and social media are clearly false."
Sung Hoon's agency continued, "Currently, we are monitoring and tracking the IPs of the distributors who are generating 'so and so said' rumors as if they were true and spreading them indiscriminately, and we will take strong action without any leniency or agreement. We will hold strict legal responsibility for all false information being spread."
The rumor about Sung Hoon and Park Na Rae coming into the emergency room of a hospital in Seoul originated from an online community where insulting comments were left on the post. This post about the two celebrities became a hot topic as rumors surrounding the two spread through various social media platforms and anonymous online communities.
The initial poster claimed that “Park Na Rae and Sung Hoon came to the hospital together,” and the rumor spread through various online communities. The poster claimed to be a hospital official, stated that the rumors were true, and shared a screen capture of a Kakao Talk conversation.
In particular, the KakaoTalk conversation released by the first circulator shocked many because it included sexual insults such as "My brother has a friend who works at the emergency room at the Yonsei University Severance Hospital. They said Park Na Rae and Sung Hoon were...and were brought into the emergency room together today."
On the post, other netizens continued to put insulting comments such as, "Omg, are they crazy? If he did it to the point of being brought into the emergency room, shouldn't he take responsibility?" and "It's more crazy that the two of them are doing it together."
Afterward, the initial spreader of the rumor was confirmed as a 'nurse,' which brought greater shock.
A media report revealed that the first circulator, A, wrote this rumor through 'Blind,' an anonymous online community for verified employees of companies. The rumor was posted on a specific sub-community where only verified hospital nurses can join. Nurse A captured the contents of the conversation in the KakaoTalk group chat room she was in and spread it online, and the contents contained lewd and sexual harassment-type comments, causing a stir.
Meanwhile, Park Na Rae and Sung Hoon appeared on the MBC entertainment program 'I Live Alone' together. Since then, the two, who boasted of their friendship in various media outlets, have been embroiled in several dating rumors thanks to their close friendship.
As the suspicion of dating between the two continued, in 2020, Sung Hoon's agency curtly denied to the dating rumor with Park Na Rae, saying, "Currently, Sung Hoon does not have a girlfriend." At the time, Sung Hoon also dismissed the dating rumors by saying, "It's not true," and revealed his view of dating by saying, "I have a principle of not dating."
In August 2022, when Sung Hoon appeared as a guest on tvN's 'The Must-Try Restaurants,' YouTuber Short Mouth Sun mentioned the dating rumor between the two. In response, Sung Hoon nonchalantly admitted that there were dating rumors but replied, "I didn't pay much attention to it." Park Na Rae also expressed that the rumors were absurd.
That's one nurse who needs to be out of a job faster than you can say 'patient confidentiality' (in Korean, of course).
.
Then, hopefully, legal action from the two agencies will make them seriously consider the implications of any future posts they make on forums.
