On the May 12 installment of Park Myung Soo's popular YouTube series 'Halmyungsoo', the comedian/TV personality attempted to guess the names of members from 4th generation K-Pop boy groups, including The Boyz, ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, and TREASURE.
Famous for giving K-Pop idols random, old-fashioned names that are always wrong, but "surprisingly seem to suit them", Park Myung Soo boasted his unexpected genius on this day after it was pointed out that Yoon Sook, the name he gave to NewJeans's Hyein, has become one of her popular(?) nicknames. Park Myung Soo coined Hye Jung, the name he gave to aespa's Giselle, as one of his favorite creations.
Meanwhile, on this latest episode of 'Halmyungsoo', Park Myung Soo finally guessed the name of a K-Pop idol correctly for the first time ever!
The unlikely feat was achieved thanks to the generous hint given by the TREASURE member himself, who said, "It is the name of a Japanese beer brand." Hearing this, Park Myung Soo confidently answered, "Asahi~?".
In fact, the members of TREASURE made a surprise guest appearance on this episode via video call on this day, and said, "We are working hard and preparing to show fans a good image this year. We don't know exactly when we'll have a comeback, but if we were to have a comeback this year, would you invite us as guests on 'Halmyungsoo'?"
Hearing this, Park Myung Soo laughed and pointed out, "What do you mean, you want to show a good image but you don't know when you'll have a comeback?"
The host then gave the TREASURE members some hilarious advice. He suggested, "Go and have them sign and seal a contract, specifying exactly what date you'll have the comeback! Or organize a group protest. Make your own labor union and submit your demands. Oh, you can also protest by fasting. Threaten them, Haruka (or Haruto), by saying that you'll leave for Japan if you don't have a comeback."
What do you think of Park Myung Soo's advice to TREASURE?
He is right. Protests and a labor union, officially registered, would be the best. All the contracts should be approved or rejected by the labor union. Is there no law to protect the artists?
