Earlier on May 4, former Jewelry member/actress Kim Yewon appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 'No Back Tak', hosted by Tak Jae Hoon.
On this day, the main topic of discussion was Yewon's controversy from 8 years ago, when she became embroiled in a verbal argument with actress Lee Tae Im during filming for a variety show. At the time, Lee Tae Im accused Yewon of using informal speech to a senior, and lashed out angrily with strong curse words. Yewon, not backing down, also said, "Unnie, you don't like me, do you?". The publication of footage from the verbal argument online resulted in both parties taking a brief hiatus from their entertainment activities.
On 'No Back Tak', Tak Jae Hoon and fellow MC Shin Kyu Jin first asked Yewon, half jokingly, "To be completely honest, who was more intimidated?" Yewon answered, "In truth, I was upset and flustered at the time so I can't say that I remember the incident in specific detail."
Tak Jae Hoon then followed up by asking, "Do you have any habits that you developed as a result of suffering from that incident?" Yewon honestly and openly replied, "Just... I don't open my eyes big and wide around others, and I also feel uncomfortable about saying with my own mouth, 'I like this,' or 'I don't like this'. I'm scared that if I say that, it will remind other people of that incident."
Finally, Tak Jae Hoon requested that Yewon send out some advice to anyone who might be facing conflict with others. Yewon stated, "Nowadays, I think I really prefer peace as much as possible. So I would say, 'What can you really get out of fighting?'." In addition, as a piece of advice to her past self, Yewon reflected, "I hope that you can become a person who will pause to think for 10 seconds before acting."
Who in the world does not argue? And who the actual f*ck does not swear?
The world is a mess if this "scandal" now makes her scared to even voice her opinion...
