FIFTY FIFTY's label has denied allegations that their track "Cupid" was plagiarized.
Recently, Turkish singer Evrencan Gunduz posted an Instagram reel alleging FIFTY FIFTY's "Cupid" plagiarized his 2017 song "Sen Askimizdan". In response, the girl group's agency ATTRAKT stated they've talked to the original producer of the track.
ATTRAKT stated, "We checked with the original producer after the recent media mention of plagiarism accusations against FIFTY FIFTY's 'Cupid', and we found the original producer doesn't even know the Turkish song in question. There are similarities in terms of the characteristics of pop music, but we don't think it's plagiarism."
What are your thoughts on the allegations?

There are only 12 notes in music spread across octaves. so with millions of songs out there, there will be similarities. What needs to be proven is intent to copy, and how much of it was plagiarized. And how similar not just the note progression in question is but also the similarities of the secondary+(more) musical accompaniments attached to the song. We can learn a lot from Ed Sheeran's case with Thinking out loud and Marvin Gaye's Let's get it on.
