C.A.P posted an apology letter to fans after his withdrawal from Teen Top.
On May 11, Teen Top's label TOP Media announced C.A.P's leave from the group following his controversial live stream. C.A.P then shared an apology letter on his Instagram account. He wrote:
"Hello. This is Bang Min Soo.
Firstly, I want to apologize to the many people who were hurt by my words and actions.
I was aware there could be controversy, but I only thought of myself and acted selfishly.
I was aware I should feel apologetic about my actions toward the people who have trusted and supported me and also to the members who I have spent a long time and are closer than even brothers.
For a long time, I felt I was wearing clothes that didn't fit. I wanted to take those clothes off now, so I ended up behaving improperly.
It's my fault and due to my negligence. There is no room for excuses.
I am sorry to the agency and to the younger members who understood my immature behavior, and I apologize to fans who must have been flustered as well.
I once again sincerely apologize in the hopes there will be no further harm to the Teen Top members and agency family who are working hard for the comeback.
Thank you to everyone who loved Teen Top's C.A.P until now. I was really grateful."
In other news, TEEN TOP are expected to make their first comeback in 3 years this July.
Honestly, I'm proud of him for everything he's done and for sticking up for himself. Sure, this apology is more of a way to be gracious to his former group mates, but enough was enough. He's a grown man, and he even admits in this apology that he's long outgrown his role in the K-pop industry (even if he doesn't outright say it). The thing is, he's likely wanted to leave for a long time, but his company wouldn't let him. All of you calling him terrible, saying he doesn't care, that he was a terrible leader- all of you bullying and harassing him gave him exactly what he wanted, his freedom. The company couldn't afford to keep him on due to the scandal, but would have made him stay regardless of his wants and needs if this had never happened. He's allowed to have feelings, and as an adult in his 30s he had every right to call out the people that were trying to tell him how to live his life for smoking a cigarette- something he's done often on his livestreams. That being said, everyone on here and other forums saying what an awful person he is- all of you are part of the reason why idols feel such immense pressure to be perfect, to fit in a mold designed by the fans. And do you know what happens when that pressure becomes to great? We lose them, just like we lost Moonbin, Jonghyun, Sulli, Hara, etc. All of you who posted the loss of them but come harass this man for standing up for himself are simply hypocrites.
