Brave Girls will start fresh with a new group name.
On May 3 KST, it was announced that the members of Brave Girls, who recently signed an exclusive contract with Warner Music Korea, chose a new team name, BB GIRLS.
Brave Girls is a team launched in 2011 by Brave Entertainment, led by hit song maker Brave Brothers. Currently, the team has four members, Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna. With the song "Rollin" released in 2017, they made a leap forward as a popular girl group.
Brave Girls members have been without an agency for a while since their exclusive contract with Brave Entertainment expired in February, and recently made a new home at Warner Music Korea. It was an expression of their will to continue their activities as a 'complete group'. The members announced the news of the exclusive contract through their respective SNS accounts and announced a 'summer comeback'.
Since Brave Entertainment owns the trademark rights for the existing team name, a change was inevitable to promote without issues. It is said that the members chose the new team name after much thought, and chose something that would maintain the identity of the team while being something that would be memorable to the public's mind.
What do you think of the team's new name?
Brave ent. should've just give them their name. Just as BamBam said, they don't do anything with the trademark name and don't allow them to use it just for leaving the agency.
