Seventeen's Seungkwan expressed his grief by following Moonbin's social media after his passing.
On April 20, Seungkwan added Moonbin's account to his following list on his Instagram account.
Previously, Seungkwan followed only Seventeen's official and members' accounts. However, after the tragic news of Moonbin's passing, he followed Moonbin's Instagram account, following a total of 14 accounts on Instagram.
Seungkwan and Moonbin are best friends of the same age, born in 1998, and have been known to have a special relationship with each other for a long time. In the interview with GQ Korea in February, Moonbin expressed his gratitude toward Seungkwan and shared, "I formed a lot of memories with Seungkwan. I don't like going out that much but thanks to him, I went to many places."
In January, Moonbin posted a photo of receiving a cake on his birthday and tagged Seungkwan. At the time, Seungkwan reshared the photo and wrote, "Aren't I such a sweet hyung?" suggesting they celebrated their birthdays together. Seungkwan was born on January 16, and Moonbin was born on January 26.
Moonbin also appeared on MBC's entertainment program 'Late Night Ghost Talk,' which aired in March last year, and said, "One of my friends, Seungkwan (Seventeen), and I watch 'Late Night Ghost Story' while drinking beer. We really wanted to appear on the show, but when I told Seungkwan that I was going to appear, he asked me to invite him as well."
Fans are more heartbroken as they see Seungkwan grieve over Moonbin's tragic news.
Meanwhile, Moonbin was found dead at his Gangnam-gu, Seoul home at 8:10 PM on April 19. The police are investigating the exact cause of death. The mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of Asan Hospital in Seoul. His funeral is scheduled for April 22.
