On April 11, Starship Entertainment announced that IVE's Rei would temporarily halt activities due to her poor health. 

The agency stated, "Rei recently felt symptoms of abnormal conditions such as heart palpitations and stuffiness. Based on the opinion of a professional medical institution, after sufficient discussion with Rei, we have decided to temporarily halt her activities for her recovery."

Previously, Rei only attended the photo wall due to her poor physical condition and did not attend the press conference for the group's first full album, 'I'VE IVE,' that was held on April 10.

Following the news that Rei will halt activities, fans have expressed concerns as the idol had to stop due to health issues. 

To assure her fans that she is doing alright, Rei decided to write a handwritten letter to them. She wrote, "To my precious DIVE, you guys were really surprised after hearing the news right? I contemplated over and over again how I can write an honest letter so I decided to write a handwritten one to deliver my sincerity."

She continued to write, "After I became a member of IVE, I diligently ran with the best five members hand in hand. Those who were always with me during happy and sad times were the members and DIVE. I have to halt for now  but I am putting in the effort so that this time for myself isn't meaningless."

Rei continued, "I think about DIVE and the members every day. I want to know what you guys are doing, if you guys ate, or if there was anything interesting. Because you are all my most precious friends and family."

She also didn't forget to promote the group's first full album and wrote, "We really really diligently prepared as much as this is our first full-length album. Our IVE members are all awesome and wish they can receive much love from people all around the world. I miss you DIVE. I hope that all the people I love can be happy. We all deserve to be loved and I hope you are not afraid of tomorrow."

She added, "I will do the same and if there are hard times, remember that there are people who love you and cherish you. Today will be filled with laughter and promise me to spend a happy day. DIVE I love you."
