Former IZ*ONE member and current AKB48 center Honda Hitomi will be hosting a brand new radio program, 'IDOLCHAMP Presents POP-K TOP 10 Friday' on TokyoFM.
In light of her new radio DJ role, Honda Hitomi greeted her fans in Korea with a casual interview, where she expressed her wishes to promote more actively in Korea. Below, you can find out what Hitomi had to say during her interview.
Q: What is your favorite Korean food?
A: "I love 'Honey Combo Chicken' and 'Cheese Balls'. I also love rosé tteokbokki and greek yogurt. Greek yogurt in Japan is just not as thick in texture as Korean greek yogurt. I really want to have some when I go back to Korea. I love it so much, I would jump at the opportunity to sell it in Japan."
Q: What are some fond memories of your time in Korea?
A: "There were so many happy memories. Of course, there were times when it got hard, but right before I returned to Japan, I went on a trip to Jeju island with Kim Min Ju and our manager. We didn't have the time to go on a vacation during our group promotions, but we were given about a month's time after our final concert to spend in Korea. It was the first time I went on a real vacation, eating good food and enjoying some leisure time."
Q: How are your schedules in Japan?
A: "I am promoting as a part of a group, but I also have many individual schedules, such as magazine shoots, CF shoots, and acting roles. I am carrying out various activities outside of my career as an idol as well."
Q: What is your MBTI?
A: "I used to get INFJ, but when I recently took it again it changed to ES-. I was so surprised."
Q: Do you have any goals or dreams for the future?
A: "I am currently carrying out my role as an idol in Japan, but since I had the opportunity to study Korean during my IZ*ONE days, I want to use what I learned more if given the opportunity. There are many fans who are supporting me overseas as well, so I hope to do my best and market myself to a broader global audience. There are so many things I want to do. I'm a greedy person, you see."
Q: Do you have any Korean dramas or movies you like?
A: "I'm a big fan of the drama 'Signal'. I also love acting. I think my fans like seeing me acting too, so I want to work on more projects. I'm fine with the role of a foreigner, so if given the opportunity, I would really love to work on a Korean project."
