On April 20, the final winners of the idol survival show 'Boys Planet' were revealed as the show came to an end.
Unfortunately, Pentagon's Hui, celebrated for his talent and charisma as a K-pop idol, did not secure a spot in the debut group, placing 13th in the final ranking—outside the top 9. This unexpected outcome came as a surprise to his fans, who had supported him throughout the show.
As soon as the announcement was made, fans flooded social media and online communities with messages of support for Hui, expressing their love and admiration for him.
Many fans expressed their disappointment and sadness at the news but also emphasized how proud they were of Hui for giving his all and showcasing his talent on the show.
Fans commented, "Hui, you worked hard," "I will continue to support you," "He's so good at performing. I also love his voice," "I became a fan after seeing him on 'Boys Planet'" "He really worked hard. Hope he does better in the future," "I want to see Pentagon make a comeback," "He's someone who will shine wherever he is," "You did well Hui," "Good job, I will support you more," "Cube needs to take care of Pentagon more now," "He's so talented, wish him the best," "I voted for Hui," and "I want to see him on stage for a long time."
Hui is very nice person from what I saw. He started strong. Though I felt he lost confidence, played it safe, felt bad because of his age which gave him insecurities when he is still so young(the young idols that are underage are the problem not the idols in their late 30 30 or 40) and maybe felt bad seeing all these young kids wanting to perform on stage at least once more and how they were happy just being on Mcountdown once while he has been multiple times. So at some point I felt he went safe and let others have killers parts when he should have taken charge and applied for that instead aggressively like the first ep with Shut it down. In any case I feel like Pentagon has a bright future with the attention they will get now if they make a comeback. They had quite a few hits. The debut group won't be as successful as previous Mnet groups based on how Kepler is doing. Izone was the last big artist from such a show but the rigging scandal really set the future dark for any next debut groups from such shows. I hope Hui is confident he has already achieved so much that these kids wanted but could not get and most likely they won't. In any case I will support the debuting group even thouh they wont be as successful bc of lack of balance due to the fair voting. I will say they rigged previous groups well all members suited each other. Anyway past is past I hope everything goes well for everyone.
