Have you ever come across a song that's so amazing that you instantly become a fan, only to find out that the group has already disbanded? It's a real bummer, right? Especially when the song that got you hooked turns out to be their last one.
Personally, I think it's both great and bittersweet when groups release a bop of a goodbye song as a gift to their fans. It's a great way to say farewell, but it's also sad that such an incredible song marks the end of their journey as a group.
Check out some of the songs that are way too good to be disbandment songs!
MAGO - GFriend
This song was the beginning of a new era but also the end of that era. It truly is one of the best K-Pop songs of all time, but sadly, it's their last song as the group.
Goodbye - 2NE1
Even the title itself is already heartbreaking. It took some fans years to finally listen to the song without feeling sad or bitter. These amazing legends truly deserved better.
Not That Type - gugudan
Because of how good the sound, styling, and vibe this song has, fans thought it was a criminal offense for something this good to be the group's disbandment song.
Downpour - IOI
Stanning a Produce group is hard because we knew the day would come, and this song was not only one of their best tracks yet, but it truly gave fans a downpour.
Only You - Miss A
This track is one of the fans' favorites, and they patiently waited for the group to release something new, but sadly, this was their last.
Panorama - IZ*ONE
While fans are glad to see that their last song was a certified banger, it was still upsetting that they never managed to finish the ONE trilogy and have an actual final album, promotion, and concert to say their goodbyes.
Venom - BVNDIT
It was one of 2022 best releases. The hit became the talk of the town because of how good the song was, only to find out that... it's the group's last.
Spring Breeze - Wannaone
After hard-hitting title tracks, this was a beautiful goodbye to give fans. Instead of saying goodbye, the group promised to meet again when the spring breeze comes, and they fulfilled their promise with a reunion at the MAMA Awards.
Flash - X1
This group was short-lived. Despite having so little time, they managed to break records. Can you just imagine the power they would have if they were given the time they were promised? They would have shone brighter than any flash out there.
Spring, Again - NU'EST
This should have been the most beautiful 10th-anniversary song instead of a disbandment song. I just thought it was fate (if you would call it) that Hwang Minhyun had to sing about Spring again for his second disbandment.
Sistar - Lonely is the one for me. What a farewell from the Queens of Summer.
