Netizens have struck up a debate about the "revealing" rating of The Boyz's newly released tour photo book, 'The Boyz Zone'.
The photo book features a collection of images that the members of The Boyz took of one another while traveling overseas for their world tour. As such, many of the photos capture the group members being goofy or comfortable in their daily lives, such as in their hotel rooms.
But some netizens have raised the question of whether or not the photo book is "intentionally revealing", attempting to market somewhat suggestive content such as semi-nudity as "daily lives of the members".
On one hand, some netizens argued,
"If my group did a photo book like this I'd buy it in a heartbeat."
"Idk they're just being goofy and playing around, like there's nothing suggestive about any of these."
"But I mean, the members took the photos of one another so no one was forcing or coercing them."
"Honestly the fact that the members took the photos is better?? That means they put some thought into the process and took photos that they thought fans might like."
"I thought the photos had such a natural and comfortable vibe. There's nothing suggestive about these, they're just snapshots of the members' lives."
"If you don't want to look at the photos, then just don't. These are casual and moody photos meant for fans, stop getting the wrong idea."
However, others commented,
"It's 100% intentional."
"It's clearly fan service."
"Those people who are saying that this wasn't intentional... you know very well that this is for sales, and that there are plenty of consumers out there who would eat this up."
"I'm not into these kinds of revealing concepts."
"I mean yes, it's intentional. Even if the members took photos of one another, they knew to a certain extent that these photos were being made for a purpose. But I mean, the fans must be excited about it."
"They probably took hundreds of photos, and then the company selected which photos made it into the book so..."
"Wow it's pretty revealing... Guess some fans are going crazy over this."
"I mean if my group tried this kind of concept I'd be all over it too but... I wouldn't necessarily want too many other people to know about it kekekekeke."
What do you think of the debate?
These are literally grown ass men, I feel like if they did not want to do this their company wouldn’t force them to, and if they did that would be pretty messed up.
