On February 11 KST, the COS quilted bag she was often seen sporting last year became a hot topic again in online communities, especially as cheap replicas of the bag were seen being sold by vendors in Seoul shopping districts like Hongdae, Myeongdong, and Namdaemun.

In a post titled "Jennie's bag, which is currently really popular in Namdaemun and Myeongdong too," one netizen shared a handful of photos of these bags being sold by different vendors. Some of the bags are the same ivory color as Jennie's bag, but there are a wide amount of other colors and sizes seen available. The signs around the bags use either Jennie's photo or the phrase 'COS Jennie bag' to use the idol's reputation to further drive sales.

Netizens who saw the post left a number of comments about Jennie's trendsetting power, with many admitting that they either purchased one of these bags in the past or had been interested in buying one too. Comments included, "The Jennie effect," "Hahaha I bought this too a while back," "Let's go to Myeongdong and buy one!," "Jennie impact," and "Omg, I really want this too."

Meanwhile, the original COS quilted bag retailed for $99 USD and sold out quickly after Jennie was first seen with it. However, the company continues to sell similar quilted-style bags and accessories.
