There are a lot of ways fans like to distinguish the 'hyung line' from the 'maknae line' of their favorite Kpop boy groups. On a recent post there was a discussion about how to differentiate the 'hyung line' from the 'maknae line' within BTS. 

The post started off by stating,

"There are many ways to tell the difference among them but one of the fastest ways to distinguish between the hyung line and the maknae line is

If the audio is loud, it's the hyung line

If the actions are loud, it's the maknae line"

"If they're being noisy and talkative while crossing over a puddle, it's the hyung line. 
If they're crossing over silently, it's the maknae line." 

"When introducing a new song, if they start dancing, it's the maknae line. 

If they remain sitting and just react, it's the hyung line. 

If they loudly come interfering, trying to prevent someone who tries to spoil choreography, it's the hyung line. If they're just sitting eating chicken while spoilers are being revealed, it's the maknae line." 

"When riding amusement park rides, if they're screaming saying they don't have the courage, it's the hyung line.
