Released on November 20, 2020, as the lead single from the group's fifth Korean-language full-length album 'BE,' the video hit the milestone approximately 2 years and 3 months after its release.
"Life Goes On" has become the boy band's 16th MV to reach half a billion views, following "Blood Sweat & Tears," "Save Me," "Fire," "Dope," "Not Today," "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "Spring Day," "Fake Love," "IDOL," "DNA," "Dynamite," "Butter," "Permission to Dance," and "ON (Kinetic Manifesto Film)."
