A discussion about #Jin being an exemplary celebrity, free from controversy, trends on Nate Pann
Nate Pann is one of the few K-community forums in Korea. Recently, a discussion regarding Jin became a hot topic there and trended in the Talkers' Choice Hall of Fame category. The post has over 600 likes, which is a lot for this online community.
The post was a discussion about Jin being a perfect celebrity that doesn't have anything to be criticized for. The title of the post says: BTS's Jin is seriously...
Here's the following text:
"He has zero controversy, has high self-esteem, but is never prideful. He is the "Real Deal"! Also handsome. There's truly nothing to diss about him."
There are many comments agreeing on that and elaborating on the original post:
"The only argument about Jin is if he's going to expose his forehead or not. Nothing else. He has a small face and his facial contour is so gorgeous that I personally prefer his forehead exposed. But to be honest, I like both styles. When will Seokjin be discharged from the military service? Feels like it has already been 2 years or so."
"The only thing that this shy guy needs to expose is his top, as I have already seen a good amount his completely exposed forehead and half-exposed hairstyles."
"Jin working hard now in the military is also a plus factor."
"People say not to use one's personal qualities to introduce an idol to follow, but his personality is so straight/proper/transparently decent that I want to stick to my principle (of stanning an idol with a great personality)."
"He also maintains great relationship with younger bandmates. Most of all, so pleasantly amusing."
Hello! Today I want to talk about an aspect of Jin's role as BTS's *official* visual that I don't see mentioned a lot: it's not only about his looks but also how he is seen and how that, in turn, influences the perception of the group.
Jin is truly a rare gem in the world of superstars. There was never any scandal around him, no controversies or criticism regarding his actions. People who have been knowing Jin for a long time (especially the BTS members) sometimes say that Jin was always the moral compass of the group, someone who was able to keep them grounded. Jin is considered an owner of a very strong mindset.
“He has zero controversy.”
aint common on idols but yes, kim seokjin, a 9-year world-class idol has zero controversy/scandal. aside from his good looks and talent, he's known for being a manner-idol & nation's son-in-law 💜
i've alr said this many times but i'll say it again that seokjin is really the strongest man i've ever seen not only in physical strength but the way he continuously shown his strong mindset and emotional intelligence for being so grounded and staying positive for his members.
Jin seems to be a perfect human being: kind, wise, thoughtful, open-minded, respectful and polite, handsome, educated, talented, creative, determined and hardworking, humble, but at the same time he is an easy-going social butterfly, not afraid to look funny, oozes out his confident charisma and remains true to himself after all these years. People say it's very easy to love a person like Jin!
[Pann] BTS Jin is a real personality-genius (give me a better anecdote for this)

I've said this before in another place but I'll say it here again:
On camera, Jin is a very cocky, confident and shamelessly goofy person who is willing to embarrass himself for the laughs, act silly and transparently air his grievances or annoyance when he does not like something. He is completely self-aware of his fame, how he is viewed in a stereotypical way by people and his position as 'the visual member', as Mr. Worldwide Handsome, and therefore doubles down humorously on his own narcissistic drivel and antics instead of being pretentious and trying to portray himself as a humble, pure angel.
Many celebrities try to carefully curate an image of being a pure, can-do-no-wrong person who is very humble and kind. Then, often times, we end up hearing they are further from the opposite in real life and it's all just pretense. For Jin, the roles are literally reversed. Instead of trying to air a fake, carefully crafted image of himself, he embraces his high octane idol lifestyle with amusement, and wholeheartedly indulges in the grandeur of his job without any pretense. He is unapologetically an 'idol' when the cameras are rolling.
At the same time, in reality, in his private life, he is very introverted, extremely polite, humble, gentle and he never uses his seniority against his other members to dominate them and silently, without ever showing off, works EXTREMELY hard, never letting the hate against him bog him down, so he can catch up with his group in areas that he is weak at. Every senior who has interacted with Jin, whether it be famous chefs, other K-Pop idols, actors, variety show stars or his industry mates, have all complimented his personality, in particular, at how unbelievably well-mannered and just genuine he is. The juxtaposition between his self-aware over-the-top overconfident idol persona and how humble & gentlemanly he is in real life, makes me love him even more.
The fact we can see so easily the difference between his worldwide handsome persona and his real self is ironically a sign of him being more genuine than most idols. When someone is always perfect and with zero flaws, that's a telltale sign that they are not authentic.
Jin's perfect at all 💜🫰
