Released on September 16, 2022, as the title track from their second full album 'Born Pink', the video reached the mark 3 months and 2 weeks later.
"Shut Down" has become BLACKPINK's 12th music video to reach the 300 million view count, following "Whistle", "Playing With Fire", "BOOMBAYAH", "As If It's Your Last", "DDU-DU DDU-DU", "Kill This Love", "Stay", "Lovesick Girls", "How You Like That", and "Pink Venom".
