On December 6, SHINee's Minho attended a press conference to commemorate the release of his solo debut mini album, 'CHASE'.

Being the last member of SHINee to debut solo, Minho said, "All of our members have solo albums, and I'm the last piece of the puzzle, so I'm happy and excited to be the last."

Furthermore, the SHINee member stated, "I'm thankful to the members for protecting the connection that each of our solo albums have. I take this connection really to heart. It's not just the members who consider this connection important. The fans consider it important too. I felt that it was a project that made people curious and also one that suggested the direction that we as a team could head in the future."

How did the SHINee members react to Minho's solo debut news? Minho answered, "Taemin had already asked someone else from the company to send him an audio file before I even got a chance to ask him to listen to it. Onew hyung came to see me and encourage me and brought gifts. Key just told me, 'Fighting!'... Fortunately, he didn't nag me. He knew that I was feeling some amount of pressure. He just told me to prepare well."

Next, regarding his title track "Chase", Minho said, "It's a song that suits the cold Winter season well." The idol then described his choreography as delicate and groovy, adding on, "As I was preparing for the performance, I showed it to Super Junior's Eunhyuk and TVXQ's Yunho. I wanted some good feedback and advice. But Eunhyuk didn't send me much feedback, and just said, 'I like it? I like it more and more?'. TVXQ's Yunho sent me a very long text with feedback. And when I didn't read it, he called me at something like 1:30 AM." 

Super Junior's Eunhyuk, who also hosted the showcase as MC for the day, remarked after hearing this, "I had a feeling that you had sent it to Yunho hyung. And I could imagine what kind of feedback you'd receive from him. Just too much, and too many things to fix. As always, Yunho hyung wears everyone out." 

Hearing this, Minho pointed out, "I had the desire to create a perfect stage. It's the first time that I felt that way about a stage, so I asked you two for help."

Finally, Minho stated, "I didn't really think about what I wanted to achieve with this album. I thought that if I raised my expectations, I might become disappointed in myself and fall apart. All I can dare to say is that I hope it is well-received. I hope that people will realize what stories I wanted to, and what genres I wanted to try out and what performance I wanted to show."
