Jin didn't attend the MAMA awards show this year but was still one of the most-mentioned artists of the night. He gave a heartfelt speech on the phone when J-hope came up to receive the special 'MAMA Platinum' award that BTS won. The videos of his speech on social media have over 1 million and 500,000 views already. 

However, that's not the only thing that made him one of the most-mentioned artists. 

Among the other actors and music artists, a famous actor, Jung Woo Sung, was the awards presenter at the show. He received a question regarding K-pop when being interviewed at the Red Carpet. The host asked who his favorite artist is these days. Jung Woo Sung's answer was quite unexpected. 

MC: Is there any Kpop artist that you like and a song that you often listen to these days?
👤: Hmm… I like them all...
MC: You like them all?
👤: Jin! 
MC: Oh, Jin? BTS Jin?
👤: The Astronaut. I like the song.

It was Jin! Jung Woo Sung even mentioned 'The Astronaut' as a song he likes. By the way, another actor, Kim Seoham, mentioned Jin's latest song as something he listens to a lot these days too. They've been friends for many years. 

Jung Woo Sung met Jin at the VIP premiere of 'Emergency Declaration". Jin was a special guest of Kim Namgil, who also invited Jin to dinner with A-list actors and even Chungmuro officials. Jin charmed everyone at that dinner, and even the actors from Chungmuro (the Korean Hollywood equivalent) said they were impressed by the artist and would support his acting debut. 

After that, Jung Woo Sung asked Jin to attend the premiere of a movie called 'Hunt.' The actor said that seeing Jin there would make him very happy. During the short interview at the premiere, Jung Woo Sung said that Jin's personality made a big impression on him and that he was the best talker he has met since Ju Ji-hoon. He even mentioned wanting to put the two of them together. As we all know, Jin was taught by award-winning global professors when he was a student at the Film and Theater Department in Konkuk. Jin was one of the ten students, who passed the acting auditions. He managed to enroll in the classes of only ten people in the two best acting universities in Korea. Both had around 2k applicants. He was one of the best students there.

Seems like the senior actor got really fond of Jin, who never fails to make a big impression on anyone he meets.
