Some fans are expressing anger toward EXO member Chen's recent solo activities.

Chen, who recently made his solo comeback with the release of his 3rd mini album 'Last Scene', has been promoting his new album through various promotions including radio appearances, music programs, etc.

In particular, at the end of this week's installment of the popular YouTube variety program 'MMTG - Civilization Express', Chen appeared in the preview for next week's episode as the main guest. 

Sitting down with host Jaejae, Chen said, "I wasn't able to make many friends in the idol industry." In addition, fellow EXO member Suho appeared through a recorded message, describing Chen's good qualities as a friend. Afterward, Jaejae called in a mystery guest to help Chen make new friends.

However, the news that Chen will be appearing as a guest on next week's installment of 'MMTG - Civilization Express' is not being well-received by some fans. 

What's more is that some netizens are accusing Chen of "using the other EXO members" to promote his solo album, since "they know that without the title of EXO, his album would massively flop."

"Being an idol isn't just about singing... that's what regular singers do. Idols are multitalented and they have many duties to fulfill. All of the other members are active in so many fields, but all this one does is sing at a few concerts or performance a year. He doesn't even have any solo content on YouTube because they know that it won't sell."

"Jongdae, you have been benefiting off of the members for years. When will you reciprocate? If you can't pay them back for all of the times they've covered for you, then at least try to be independent and do something on your own for once. Leave the other members alone and do your singing."

"The only idol who would want to be your friend is Super Junior's Sungmin."

"Why does Suho have to cover for Daddy TT."

"Wouldn't it be so wonderful if you just left with your own two feet and kept your dignity, then found relative success as a solo singer. But in the end, that's not possible, is it? You have two kids to raise, so you need to leech off of the other members."

"This is unfair. They didn't even try half as hard to promote Xiumin's solo album."

"Why do you need friends when you should be raising two kids at home?"

"Until the problematic member leaves a group, all of the group's members will forever be terrorized for 'shielding' or 'fraternizing'." 

Meanwhile, Chen also recently held a music listening party with fellow EXO members Suho, Xiumin, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun, asking the members to react to his new album.
