Just three days ago, NewJeans announced their official fandom name and also revealed the design of their lightstick.

According to the announcement, NewJeans' fandom will be called "Bunnies" or "Tokki" (Which is "Bunny" or "Rabbit" in Korean). Taking on the name of the fandom, NewJeans' light stick resembles a white rabbit.

After seeing the design, some fans commented that the girl group's new light stick is similar to B.A.P's light stick, which was also shaped like a rabbit, the Matoki, which was the group's mascot.

After the claims of the two lightstick's similarity were made in an online community, K-netizens and K-pop fans joined the discussion and debated whether they were similar.
