BTS fans angered after finding that a Chinese YouTuber took the handle 'BTS_official'

Earlier last month, YouTube introduced "YouTube Handles" and began implementing the new feature starting the 1st of this month. YouTube handles are another way to identify a YouTube channel and "a new way for people to easily find and engage with creators and each other on YouTube."

With this new feature, people can tag the artist or creator in comments, and it is also shown on YouTube shorts and other videos.

Recently, there has been an issue that arose after a Chinese YouTuber was seen taking over the handle "@BTS_official" and taking advantage of the handle not being in use.

Many BTS fans and even internet users are speculating that the Chinese YouTuber intentionally took the handle "BTS_official" to bring anyone searching for BTS to her YouTube page.

Although BTS's YouTube channel is officially called "@BANGTANTV," the global group's Twitter account is identified as @BTS_official. Therefore, many fans are requesting that YouTube removes the handle to prevent any confusion.
