Shinhwa's Hyesung apologized for making false statements regarding the allegedly stolen vehicle in his DUI incident.

On October 12 KST, Shinhwa member Hyesung's agency Liveworks Company released an official statement written by Hyesung's legal representative. Here, his legal representatives corrected Livework Company's previous statement, which claimed that the valet parking attendant of Restaurant 'A' had handed Hyesung the keys to the allegedly stolen vehicle that Hyesung had been caught sleeping in, while under the influence of alcohol. Restaurant 'A' denied this by stating that their valet staff were not even working on site during the time that Hyesung left, and submitted the relevant CCTV footage to police.

Following the response made by Restaurant 'A', Hyesung's legal representatives apologized for the false statements made by Liveworks Company by explaining that there had been a lack of communication between Hyesung and his company. They wrote, "During the process of releasing an official statement, [Hyesung] had already been arrested and acquaintances [of Hyesung] who were present at the time had memories that were unclear. As a result, inaccurate information were released, and we deeply apologize for this." They further stated that after returning from police investigations on the afternoon of the incident, Hyesung is deeply reflecting on his wrongdoings.
