HwaSa's "Maria" has become the singer's first song to hit 200 million streams on Spotify.

On October 29, 2022, girl group MAMAMOO's HwaSa's title track "Maria" from her chart-topping album "Maria" (2020) finally surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify. Making this the singer's first song to reach the milestone on the platform. The title track continues to be a favorite among moomoos and kpop fans after it was released in 2020.

"Maria" (which refers to the singer's own baptismal name) is a song that combines elements of trap and synth with an upbeat Latin-pop section over the bridge. The lyrics describe the struggles that come with fame, the effects being in the center of the public eye has on one's mental health and emotions that need to be surprised even in the hardest times.
